New member of the family! (Sort of)
Well, they called to say they had a possible match at Big Brothers/ Big Sisters for my son, so we got all the information about him, and my son says he sounds like someone he could get on well with. I'm going to let them know on Monday that we're ready to go forward with the match!
Son was especially glad to hear that the guy plays chess, and so was I-- I only just started learning when my son did, so I'm not much of a coach.
Daughter has her Big Sister over, watching Cheaper By the Dozen and eating lemon pastry cremes at the moment. My family'll be nibbling on GS cookies for months because I overbought, thinking I would give some away, but everybody seems to have plenty. Now I'm stuck with tons of cookies I won't eat, because they aren't on my diet! Thank goodness they freeze well.
