Another crazy couple of weeks!
It always feels so strange to come back following such a long absence from blogging! After everyone in the house got through having the flu, I had a sudden, severe nosebleed that sent me to the emergency room, twice. The first time, they didn't pack my nose adequately, so the bleeding started again twelve hours later, and then I had to go back in an ambulance. It scared us all half to death, and meant I spent the whole weekend on Vicodin with a balloon up my nose, so it was a real learning experience for the entire family. Apparently, it was just a freak occurrence due to dry air and irritation from having recently been sick. No other reason for it ever turned up. I've been running the humidifier like crazy, just in case it makes a difference, though.
A couple of days ago, I got a phone call from a neighbor, whose child had been playing with my daughter. It appears my daughter told the five-year-old girl, "you can lie to your mom; I lie to mine all the time." Daughter actually admitted she had said this, when I confronted her. She also got caught with two twenty dollar bills around the same time $80 went missing from Grandpa's wallet. (Hmmmm. I wonder where the rest is.) Soooo. . . Daughter is now on a very strict behavior checklist at home, and I have signed her up for Tae Kwon Do lessons, as I had told her I would if we continued to have obedience issues. Lord, I hope I don't end up having to send her to a military academy.
Not a good past couple of days. Oh. . . I did reach my goal weight, though. That's a very good thing!
